*WARNING* this guacamole is addictive!!!

Here it is – my “famous” guac recipe. This is probably my most popular and requested recipe! It’s super yummy, healthy and simple. The perfect dip for any holiday festivities. I suggest you make A LOT because it goes fast.

This guac is great with – nachos, chips and salsa, tacos, burritos. My favorite way to eat it is as a veggie dip, especially with cucumbers, and we love stuffing it inside a portobello mushroom. It’s a delicious, healthy and satisfying snack that is almost always in our fridge.

You will soon start to see that I have a serious addiction to mushrooms (especially portobellos) and avocado. I love them separately but together they are MAGIC!!

•• RAD guacamole ••

[ gluten free ] [ vegan ] [ raw ]

I usually double (sometime triple) this recipe.

The Ingredients:

  • 3 avocados
  • 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic micro-planed or crushed  (start with one and add according to taste)
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely diced
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1 tbsp braggs
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp sambal oelek or crushed red pepper flakes (or a few drops of tabasco sauce or dashes of hot sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)

The Process:

Open, pit and peel the avocados. Throw them in a bowl. Mash em with a potato masher.

Dice tomato and finely dice red onion. Add to avocado.

Peel and micro-plane garlic. Add to guac.

Add all other ingredients. Mix well with a fork.

Taste and adjust if necessary. I find it tastes way better after it’s been in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
